So much has happened in my world since I wrote my last blog

I apologize for being too busy to report on my life struggle, I'm never nonchalant about that, but so much has happened in my world since I wrote my last blog. Firstly, I was told I'm still cancer-free.

My Nile Rodgers' Fender Guitar called The Hitmaker is finally coming to market after six years of hard work. It sounds amazing and I'm really proud we all took the time to get it right.

CHIC failed to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the eighth time, which isn't exactly news.

I've travelled tens of thousands of miles and performed for equal amounts of people. This is my therapy since cancer violated my body.

I've co-written and recorded dozens of songs and lost and gained a few pounds in the process. *It happens to the best of us*

Tonight, as I'm writing this, I'm snowbound, my We Are Family Foundation's gala has been cancelled, my plane to LA to perform at the Grammys with Daft Punk, Pharrell, and the musicians who contributed to the album Random Access Memories has just been cancelled, and I'm waiting until midnight to check the airline's plans.

And while I wait to see if I can fly to LA in two days, I'm fiercely writing music motifs that hopefully will turn into Some New CHIC Songs.
